Andreea Dobrin Dinu

Andreea Dobrin Dinu Studio SUMMERKID is an illustrator, graphic designer and artist working out of her Hamburg studio SUMMERKID, producing bright works inspired by everyday life and a certain joie de vivre that only a kid knows in summer vacation. Born and educated in Romania, she studied Graphic Arts at UNArte Bucharest and illustration / Typography at the Hochschule für Grafik und Buchkunst in Leipzig. She loves to draw for magazines, books and products that share the studio's mindset which is filled with joy, humor and a pinch of surreal.

The motif This is War for Pucle is from Andreea’s personal collection inspired by life of a couple and its daily joyful moments. "My domestic life is a constant inspiration, I embrace the joy of the ordinary: the sound of the washing machine, taking a shower, eating stuff from the supermarket, putting on a dress and all those little bits of time that make up life as a couple and ultimately...love. Of course, it's obvious I draw from my point of view and I always win, especially at pillow fights.“

    This is War!

Sometimes it’s the small fights, sometimes bigger issues that usually end up with laughter. We have been training for pillow fights ever since we were kids, and we don’t know about you, but for us is a great way how to blow off some steam. Anyway, way more than to fight we recommend puzzle to calm down :) It helps to relax and to kick start your creativity, so maybe this combo of pillow fight and puzzle could be just the right thing. What about this illustration says the artist herself? "My domestic life is a constant inspiration, I embrace the joy of the ordinary: the sound of the washing machine, taking a shower, eating stuff from the supermarket, putting on a dress and all those little bits of time that make up life as a couple and ultimately...love. Of course, it's obvious I draw from my point of view and I always win, especially at pillow fights”
