Martin Majerčák
Bratislava, Slovakia
Martin studied international relations at the University of Economics in Bratislava, but he works professionally in painting and illustration. He has been drawing since an early age and it is his activity that fulfills him the most. In his work, he deals with watercolor landscapes, mostly Tatra motifs, as well as oil and acrylic techniques, where he focuses on color geometry. In his spare time, he is engaged in mountain climbing and ski alpinism and is a volunteer member of the mountain rescue service in the High Tatras.
From Martin, we have the “Spirit of the City” motif on Pucle.
“The intention of the motif was to simplify the metropolis to a simple geometry and at the same time to capture the hustle and bustle of the city and life in it. The motif therefore combines greenery and bicycles, which are a symbol of relaxation, and depicts architectural icons of architecture.”
